About Us
Maywood Mission is a Christian ministry with over 100 years of service to the Lancaster, Ohio community. Throughout the years, Maywood has offered many different services to meet the needs of our city. Currently, our services include a thrift store, food pantry, child care, emergency financial assistance, spiritual care, and more. Through these programs we strive to share the love of Christ with everyone who comes to our doors.

Jonathan Hanks
Executive Director | Pastor
Jonathan Hanks was appointed Executive Director and Pastor of Maywood Mission in 2019 and has been a faithful leader to its staff and our community since his installment. Jonathan has a passion for meeting the spiritual and physical needs of those around him, as modeled by Jesus Christ.

Maywood Mission is a Christian mission and equal opportunity provider, founded in part to provide relief and assistance to those in need, without regard to age, race, sex, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or any type or degree of disability.
It was the founder of our faith, Jesus himself, who led by serving all, even those outside the faith, with equal dignity, grace, love and compassion.
As we provide temporary relief and assistance for the most basic needs of our neighbors, we also seek to meet spiritual needs through compassionate care, prayer and sharing the transforming truths of Jesus Christ.
